Carus LLC’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Andy Johnston as the organization’s next President and Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Johnston will join Carus on the 28th of September and brings over 30 years of global experience in the chemical industry. Most recently, he served as Group Vice President, Composites of Ashland LLC (NYSE:ASH) where he led the business to record sales and EBITDA growth. During his twenty-five-year tenure at Ashland, Johnston led multiple businesses and developed and executed numerous strategic growth initiatives, including acquisitions, global expansion, and innovation pipeline management. Prior to that, Johnston spent nine years at ICI PLC in the United Kingdom and the US, where he served in a variety of technology and business leadership positions.

He has successfully demonstrated the ability to innovate and grow both the sales and EBITDA of multiple businesses.”
Johnston is a graduate of the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland where he earned a degree in Pure and Applied Chemistry. He also holds an MBA from The Ohio State University.
