Carus is excited to mark the third annual launch of the Holiday Giving Fence, a cherished community endeavor dedicated to providing new and gently used winter clothing to those in need. As the temperature dips, the Giving Fence symbolizes unity and warmth within our community.
The Giving Fence invites the public to help themselves or contribute to this special tradition, embodying the spirit of giving and support during the holiday season. Community members are once again encouraged to join in by donating new or gently used coats, hats, gloves, and scarves. To make a contribution, simply place the item in a plastic bag, label it, and attach it to the fence. All clothing items are accessible to anyone in need at no cost.
Lyndsay Bliss, Vice President of Human Resources and Communications at Carus, shared, “This initiative is a heartwarming way for our community to unite during the holiday season. The Giving Fence encapsulates the true essence of helping a neighbor in need, and Carus is thrilled to continue its support for this remarkable project.”
For those eager to take part, the Giving Fence is situated in front of our Carus headquarters at 315 Fifth Street in Peru. Donations can be made and collected anonymously, around the clock, from now through the end of December.
Carus remains committed to fostering a sense of generosity, warmth, and togetherness within the community, ensuring that the third year of the Holiday Giving Fence Initiative is as impactful as ever.
