Summer camps are an exciting opportunity for children to expand their horizons and explore new interests. Illinois Valley Community College offers a variety of in-person and online summer camp courses for students in LaSalle, Peru, Oglesby, and the surrounding area.
IVCC camp instructors encourage young students to pursue their passion for art, cooking, science, technology, and more. These courses are a great way to keep children engaged during summer vacation.
Carus is proud to support the Illinois Valley Community College Summer Ed’Venture Camp 2022 by sponsoring a science camp course for students ages 6-8.
Carus chemists Rachel Dawson-Hince and Akila Karunanayake will lead young scientists through “Science ‘FUN’damentals” to explore the states of matter, review basic lab safety rules, and discuss the process of the scientific method.
The Carus “Science ‘FUN’damentals” class will be offered on Tuesday, July 26th from 10 am – 12 pm at Illinois Valley Community College. Each camper will conduct a special experiment that they can take home!
