Permanganate
Permanganate is a strong, versatile oxidizing agent. Carus manufactures both potassium permanganate and sodium permanganate, each offering powerful oxidation capabilities for various applications.
Potassium permanganate is commonly used in municipal drinking water treatment, soil and groundwater remediation, industrial odor control, and organic oxidation.
Sodium permanganate provides similar oxidizing strength but is often preferred for liquid applications due to its high solubility, making it ideal for large drinking water plants, industrial processes and soil and groundwater remediation.

RemOx® L ISCO
Our global brand of 40% concentrated sodium permanganate solution used for soil and groundwater treatment. Sold by both Carus USA and Carus Europe, it is ideal for in-situ chemical oxidation (ISCO) applications.
CARUSOL® Liquid Permanganate
Our global brand of 20% sodium permanganate solution used for drinking water, wastewater, and industrial process applications. CARUSOL is effective for iron and manganese removal, odor control, color reduction, and radium reduction.
CARUSOL® C Liquid Permanganate
An effective oxidant recommended for potable drinking water applications that require a concentrated sodium permanganate solution. CARUSOL C is a 40% liquid permanganate solution. Applications include iron and manganese reduction, taste and odor control, disinfection by-product reduction, color reduction, and radium reduction.
LIQUOX® Sodium Permanganate
A liquid oxidant that’s advantageous for its high solubility in water, allowing it to be a more convenient and concentrated form of permanganate when used for electronics and organic oxidation of fine chemicals and pharmaceuticals. LIQUOX is offered as a 40% sodium permanganate solution.
